ABOUT SHED 2

A place for practical ideas.

Shed 2 is a working workshop at Carriden Boatyard built around making useful things, solving awkward problems and helping good projects move forward.

WHY SHED 2

Because not every job fits a normal workshop.

Some jobs are too big, too unusual or simply too hands-on for a conventional service. Shed 2 is deliberately broad: timber, boats, steel, repairs, small structures and customer-led projects all have a place here.

The common thread is practical problem-solving. We start with what you are trying to achieve, then work out the most sensible way to get there.

THE BUSINESS

Run by Tom Gerhardt.

Shed 2 is run by Tom Gerhardt as a sole trader, trading as Shed 2.

Projects can call for very different skills. Where additional expertise or a particular specialism is needed, extra support will be brought in on an as-required basis to suit the job.

This keeps the business flexible and allows each project to be approached with the skills it actually needs.

01 · USEFUL

Built for real life

The aim is not to make things complicated. It is to make them work.

02 · FLEXIBLE

No rigid formula

We can make it for you, work alongside you, or simply give your project room to happen.

03 · HANDS-ON

Make, test, adjust

Good workshop decisions often happen at the bench, not on a spreadsheet.
